Eucalyptus perriniana is a hugely fast growth erand to avoid getting a long lanky tree it is wise to prune it back considerably in the spring in the first few years. The young leaves are strikingly round and grow around the branch. The leaves have a strong smell and can be used for different purposes. As soon as the tree matures, these leaves will become elongated and sickle-shaped. The winter hardness of this species has been amply proven.
